Wilms' Tumor Symptoms

Wilms' tumor symptoms vary from patient to patient. A mass or tumor may be felt by a parent, or sometimes during a routine check up with the pediatrician. This is one of the more common idicators of the disease. However, tumors can grow without causing any type of pain and discomfort, therefor early detection can be difficult.

Symptoms also experienced with Wilms' Tumor:

• Constipation
  
  
• Nausea
  
  
• Vomiting
  
  
• Fever
  
  
• Presence of blood in the urine
  
  
• Stomach pain/discomfort
  
  
• Loss of appetite or general reduction of appetite
  
  
• Weight loss
  
  
• High blood pressure

Children can also appear healthy. Symptoms often do no present themselves early on, or may be mistaken for another ailment.
